Unless you are a Liberal. Most Universities in the USA are nothing more than Liberal Indoctrination Camps, where you are not taught ‘;how’ to think, but ‘what’ to think.

“Man, this bird’s looking more and more like Trump…”-

First he looked Thomas “Tip” O’Neal, then likeTed Kennedy, now he looks like Donald Trump. Wonder what other political figure will he look like years from now?

Even Albert Einstein said it took him a year after he got out of college before he could think again.

I think the expression that best suits the liberal media is, “If I want your opinion, I’ll tell you what to say!” Trump bashing is fine, it’s expected. The “spin doctors” of the media are taking it to a whole new level. And I’d like a ad that if you think the media is impartial you need to wake up.

There is no such thing as ‘Free Tuition"!! What they really mean is “Taxpayer Paid Tuition”!! As a taxpayer, I’m against it. Also, if it’s “free” a lot of students won’t apply themselves. I know because I was one of them. When it was “free” I flunked out: when I had to pay I was an honor student and graduated Cum Laude!

Often times, people with extremely high I.Q.‘s also exhibit a form of Asperger’s Syndrome. They may have social difficulties, an inability to articulate their feelings, a rigid focus and need for strict routine. They " don’t play well with others ".

Higher education has little to do with increased intelligence, per se, so much as it does with the exposure to knowledge and ideas, and the maturation in social adaptivity, and preparation for the workplace.

That said, I’ve known a lot of non-degreed people who are very successful, very intelligent, and not taken in by the snake oil salesman.

Ignorance has nothing to do with a college degree.

A college education is pretty much worth what you pay for it. If you don’t have to put anything in to it to get it, chances are you won’t get anything out of it, either.

There probably was a time when college had a liberal bias. Say, in the ‘50s and ’60s, when “liberal” wasn’t a four-letter word. But these days, college is all about making money—the hottest subjects are business, finanace and engineering fields valued by the defense [sic] and petrochemical industries. Listen to college kids these days, and it’s all about how much money they’ll make after graduation. Hard to get much more conservative than that.

The earth/universe is however old you want it to be – just pick a frame of reference that makes it that age. Personally, I use the Cosmic Microwave Background as my frame of reference – as it is the only one which could be said to be in any way universal. Using the CMB frame, the universe is about 5 1/2 days old.

There is no absolute order of events either. And no, distance does not determine the relative age of stellar objects (stars). First, relative age only makes sense for a particular frame of reference. Second the speed of light can only be measured round trip – in particular it is not necessarily the same in both directions. So light from a star 10000 light years distant did not necessarily “start travelling 10000 years ago”. First, you have to specify the frame of reference to measure the time, and even then the light may be arriving much more quickly and light from us taking much longer going back. Again there is no absolute ordering of events.

So people who want to regard the universe as 6000 years old are no sillier than those who want to regard it as 14 billion years (or 6 days) old. More interesting Bible/science questions are those taking place entirely in the earth frame of reference. For example, has it been 6000 years since Adam? What about the conflict between Noah’s flood and conventional modern geology?

Leftists believe they are anointed to protect the rest of us from our own bad decision-making. The only bad decision we make is to allow them to think they are competent.

More thoughts on taxpayer paid tuition! A college will accept and keep passing students that don’t qualify just to receive the funding.

Yep, like a president that ‘broard casts’ musings like, “I wonder if injecting blreach will work?”or “I take Hydroxychloroquine to stave off Covid-19” when there is little evedence that it does, and real evedence that it increases heart attack.I don’t live in the USA, or get angry at people [generally], but your current Press is an idiot (sorry).
