There are times I eat pizza for breakfast, but it depends on not just the flavor, but the brand.

But, is it fresh, hot pizza? Or, leftover cold pizza? Leftover cold is perfectly acceptable for breakfast.

I usually eat pizza about once a year, but I’m trying to cut back to once every 18 months.

Love cold pepperoni pizza for breakfast, but not so much others, like hawaiian.

If I’m eating pizza…..I’m drinking beer….and the following morning, if there is any left over, cold pizza is just fine but warm beer isn’t.

True though. It may not be healthy, but no major reason not to once in a while.

Cold pizza, the American delicacy. No really, think about. It takes a fair amount of preparation just for the dough, then cooking (and delivery). After that, it must survive the rabid hordes and initial consumption long enough to be chilled and claimed the following morning.

I never understood why people care what someone eats for breakfast. Toast and sausage is okay but pizza (made with bread and meats) is not okay. A sugary donut is okay but a candybar is not okay. Steak and eggs with a side of hash browns are okay but steak and mashed potatoes are not okay.

    Seems weird to me…..

Oh and I LOVE hearing parents say, “No you can’t have candy for breakfast, it’s bad for you. Have this huge bowl of sugary cereal instead.”

In this strip it doesn’t look like Baldo is eating leftovers; that looks like a whole pizza in front of him. Did he call out for it that early in the morning or is it from the freezer?

I’ve had leftover pizza in the morning from time to time; the only way I seem to differ from the crowd here is that I don’t like it cold. It has to go into the microwave long enough to get some warmth into it.

The Montoni’s Pizza management (in Funky Winkerbean) once discussed opening for breakfast. Potential offerings included sauasge and egg for traditionalists; fruit ang yogurt for the health conscious; and a single cold slice in a large box for hardcore fans.

Gotta actually compliment the strip today! When I first “revealed” that I like cold leftover pizza for breakfast, it encourages a lot of closet cold pizza lovers to come clean and say it out loud! I’d say “well done,” but that would be just too much of a dumb thing to do, and it would probably wind up in the strip. (With no forthcoming royalty or credit)

    Pass the (cold) pizza, please.
