It’s better to try to educate them than to threaten them with flaming death. After all, there are a lot more of them than you. Don’t rile them up.

There was a Captain America story that when he and Bucky got captured by the Red Skull, that the Red Skull had managed to drug Cap into being a Nazi. That drug was successful in ‘making’ Cap into a Nazi, for when the Red Skull took Cap before Hitler, Cap salutes the German dictator instead of socking him in the jaw. Cutting to the climax, a drugged Captain America goes on a raid with Nazi commandoes to assassinate a high ranking Allied general, but the drug wears off in the nick if time and Cap turns the tables (not to mention bust a few Nazis’ heads) on the Red Skull’s scheme. Bucky also manages to escape and do his role in this story too.

This story was one that was illustrated by the late, great Jack Kirby in his inimitable bold style.

However, this story was a moment in Captain America’s storied history, and he’d been drugged, but when those not so creative writers at Marvel have him be a Hydra agent for whatever reason. Something has gone terribly wrong,

“This nation was founded by dissidents – by people who wanted something better! There’s nothing sacred about the status quo and there never will be!”- a certain Captain America in the 70s.

Sounds pretty Leftist to me. Just saying.

Now who are they referring as the stupid people? The ones trying to force their PC shipping into a comic? or the ones with a different opinion that owns the comic?

Ditto on what Verne said. The “stupid” people are those who want to make Cap. America anything other than what he is!

Question, does anyone know how well the new Capt. America illustrated novels are selling? Hopefully they are bombing, that is the one sure way to kill stupid trends in art. Although if you look at some of the Modern art pieces selling for millions, that have been forged because they are so easy to copy the style, you wonder.
