I posted this kind of late in the day yesterday and thought some who missed it might want to see it. I dug around a little and found this description of Mr. Fleegle:Evil-Eye Fleegle, an otherwise petty zoot-suited hood, apparently standing only four and a half feet tall and living in Brooklyn NY, has one unique ability which was taught to him by his mother. When he concentrates a destructive beam shots from one of his eyeballs.Called by him a “Whammy” it has three settings:A single whammy can knock a dozen men unconscious for a day, a double whammy can make the stone head of Teddy Roosevelt on mount Rushmore weep, and the triple whammy can melt a battle ship.Anything more powerful than a single whammy however tires out Fleegle for the rest of the day, or the rest of the week in the case of a triple. The dreaded quadruple whammy, which only Fleegle’s mother can perform, is said to be to horrible to contemplate.

So blow that spying squirrel away, Fosdick!

(Just kidding. No dream-squirrels were injured in the writing of this comment.)

Both Fearless Fosdick and a cinematic J. Straightedge Trustworthy in the same dream?! What did Tracy eat last night?

    Editorial Compromise?

The boys can show Fosdick shoot …

… but not necessarily everything Fosdick shot.

I can think of other detectives who can help these guys. Danny Reagan & Maria Baez come to mind, as do Amanda Rollins & Odafin Tutuola! And I want “Commissioner Magnum Stone” to keep close tabs on the case!

amazing how in the span of only a few seconds (comics time..between panels) tracy not only manages to get rid of his peanuts BUT they both find a park bench AND a newspaper too! Wow! what an amazing dream!

The J Straightedge Trustworthy film? What next, “The Cardinal” is out on DVD? (By the way, I have been following the weekly Cardinal strip ever since Honeymoon and Annie went to the mall last summer, intending to watch the film but encountering a bully instead.)

Am I the only one who thinks this comic strip has run adrift since the award-winning Mista/Moon Maid story two years ago?

The plots have been weak and uninteresting since then and we haven’t seen enough of some of the more interesting characters, such as Junior, Honeymoon and B.O. Plenty. Then there was the unnecessary addition of another baby to Junior and Sparkle’s family. The baby hasn’t been seen since the birth story and will no doubt be like Murphy Brown’s on TV – after the birth writers nearly totally ignored it because they didn’t know what to do with it.

I know in the old days when Bonnie Braids, Sparkle or Honeymoon was born it created a lot of interest and merchandising opportunities, but neither is the case today – it’s just another example of this strip’s apparently having jumped the shark.

I still love the characters, but until the plots improve I’m out of here. I’m sure many will criticize my statements, but sometimes the truth needs to be told and faced.

Apparently the two artists have switched places vis-a-vis Sundays and Dailies. These drawings are much cruder than Sunday’s was and Sundays previously had been the crude artist (who I didn’t care at all for.) Guess I’ll start saving Sundays and ignoring dailies now as I had been ignoring Sundays previously.

I think the stories have been strong overall, but agree with oldiesfan that the new addition to Junoir/Sparkle’s family is a loose end, bigger yet—what about Attitude Plenty who was born shortly after Staton/Curtis took over?

I read somewhere that if a person tries talking in a dream, that person usually wakes up immediately.

I’m not sure that’s true. I’ve had dreams where I’m arguing with someone. And spouses report that their partners talk in their sleep, which is usually related to what’s going on in their dreams at the time.

“What next?” people are asking…I’m guessing a cameo of Daffy Duck as “Duck Twacy” before Dick wakes up.

The Little A’bner strips reset back to day one (of whatever GoComics has,) 1/2 way through a FF adventure. At least I know Team Tracy will finish the arc.

Maybe Joe has yet to devise a face for that kid that would truly make a body recoil in horror ?

I’m not sure if that will ever happen or not. Imagination of readers can make a more horrible imaginary face than any artist can draw. I think that Attitude’s main role is for comic relief. Maybe one day, though. We will see.

Maybe an appearance by Mister Magoo …

We already had one (sort of, at least). I doubt we’re going to see another one anytime soon.
