Since it rains plenty in western Washington where I’m from, I wish it would rain to get rid of this heat wave a little.

It was 111 today where I live, so I have no sympathy for people whining about the rain.

Mothers are like that

I have never understood why people run out of the sea or pools to shelter from the rain.

Why the umbrella when you are in the pool? Afraid of getting wet? The only time I get out of the water when it’s raining is if there is lightening.

If I’m not mistaken, this is the plot of an old Harlan Ellison story.

I believe, due to the pointy bit at the top of an umbrella, that they actually do cause lightening. (static discharge etc. ) So I try to stay as far away from anyone using one.

I’m still reading your comic Jan.Im just not visiting the comment section much any more.I wish you could start doing daily strips again.The reruns are nice, and all, but there is nothing like a brand new shiny one to help lighten the day.

I love the rain, it just started raining now. It is a nice change from the endless sunshine and heat.

This is why I end the rhyme with “Don’t come back any other day.”

For us in KS we finally ended our draught we had rainy month in May. Now drying out in June. I guess Alix is safe outside with the rain do not see lightening. Her small pool is getting free rain.

When we lived in Arizona, we loved the rain and would stay in the pool bcuz it was usually 110 while it was raining (unless there was lightning of course)!

Well, she made lemonade out of lemons, but its still lemonade.

As I always say when it rains:

“Yeah … it’s a great day out. If you’re a duck. AFLAC!!”
