For those unfamiliar with the song, “Rockin’ Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu” was originally recorded by Huey ‘Piano’ Smith in 1957, who scored a hit with the song peaking at #52 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Johnny Rivers’ cover version did much better hitting #6 in 1973.

Not so much in Binkley’s time, but now, in this day and age of routine school shootings, any announcement from any kid that he plans to go out and murder has to be taken VERY seriously…
