Um, actually there was no Jethro Clampett. His name was Jethro Bodine. The son of Jed’s cousin, Pearl Bodine. I guess this woman is “a natural blond” and didn’t read the credits… but then, we all knew who she meant.

I’ve always loved her “put that down” gesture in the last panel.

She has learned from experience that men who think themselves smart are hard on a girl.

Is she actively moving those long ears or are they just flopping around? They seem a bit too expressive to simply be flopping around.

Remember also: Jethro Bodine (not Clampett, as Yontrop said) has a very wealthy uncle… ;-)

Well, he was a “double-nought”, all right… ☺

Typecasting from that show ruined Max Baer’s career. Like most or all “dumb” comedians, he was anything but dumb.

The actor who played Jethro was on the lookout for women like her.

Or perhaps Hoss Cartright, the skipper on Gilligan’s Island among many others?

Poor girl, if she was to enter 2021 west coast cities, she would have a hard time finding a Non-wimp man.

Funny – I literally just saw a tee shirt (on the internet) where the back said, “I’m not that smart, but I can lift heavy things.”

She forgot ‘wealthy.’

If she walked from the club to the newspaper I’ll bet there were some interesting traffic accidents…

How about small and timid but with a huge honker?
