As an old appliance mechanic, I saw lots of those hideous colors in the 80’s + 90’s…
Wait until they get to the bedroom closet and start counting shoes. They will come to the conclusion that men were bipedal and women centipedal.

My grandmother has gone through three fancy new fridges since moving her avocado green one out to the garage. It is still chugging along perfectly. They may have painted them funky colors in those days, but they built them to last.
We may never know why comics from this era were never edited or proofread. Seriously, “avacado”?
