I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, ’wouldn’t it be much worse if life were fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them?’ So now I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe.

This is so sad. God is not “out to get us” The world is fallen, in a state of serious disrepair. But“God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8“The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

Meh. The LORD gives me Grace, and the Devil gives me style. Bless ’em both!
