Jack says that because he’s a pig-ignorant conservative tribalist who cares more about the Republican party than he does about America and it’s citizens. Nice cartoon, by the way. I love “If it ain’t brokered, they can’t fix it.”
@Ewal DohObviously we have never had a Muslim president. Insane conspiracy blather aside, of course. Do you also think “they” faked the moon landing, or “they” are the love children of Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster? (By “they” I obviously DON’T mean Muslims, I mean the traditional “they” that lunatics think are behind things.)
“Moderate conservative” is no more an oxymoron than “moderate liberal.” There are many people who are not pure ideologues, despite the tendency of politicians today to act as though everyone is either wholly left or wholly right. From where I sit, the Dems make more of an effort to be accommodating and to compromise on policy matters than do the Reps. No one is always right, so it behooves us all – politicians and civilians – to pay attention and listen to what each other has to say. Sometimes a different perspective can be illuminating.
History is repeating itself 100 years later. If we continue to refuse to learn from it, it will continue to do so. The Great Depression Redux looms large if the right’s fiscal and economic agenda is not stopped.
It’s possible that this election will be very bad news for the Republican party, but remember that after the Goldwater disaster, they managed to regroup and win eight years later. The party structure has a lot of resilience. And if the democrats win this election and perhaps the next, then eight years from now people will be looking for a change, almost no matter what.
One of the good things about our system is that it tends to self-correct, but it’s also one of the bad things.Especially true when Sen. Johnson of Wisconsin is now vowing to block ANY Democratic nominee to SCOTUS!Let’s hope Wisconsonians wake up and throw him out for dereliction of duty.
And once again the supply siders show their true colors: I’M not benefitting ENOUGH, so the economy isn’t working. HEY IDIOTS! The recession STARTED under Georgie Boy, and YOUR representatives were AGAINST the auto bailout!Let’s see, let Detroit go under. Sounds good. Lower wages for OTHERS, and PROFITS going to Japan and Korea! But YOUR stock portfolios would be fine because YOU sold us out YEARS ago!

It’ll be more exciting than the Democrats coronation of her royal highness.

If he actually does say why, (without just throwing out broad-brush platitudes,) it’ll be the first time I’VE ever seen it.

Kasich, Marco Polio, and Canadian Rafael Cruz all agree that Trump is just the worst candidate you could ever imagine.
But, they will all vote for him.
You know, It’s OKAY If A Republican Does It.

Sounds like someone’s proud of being a pig. I’d rather strive to be human.
