Exactly – he can’t possibly do enough damage to a whale with that thing to be able to kill and eat it, so all he would be doing would be causing it a certain amount of pain (fortunately not much as that spear would barely pierce its skin).

I would have loved to see this kid hit a giant whale with a spear so it could clamp onto his leg and drag him to the bottom of the ocean
