Somehow Ben Carson is turning into a bit of a whackjob.

No, Carson doesn’t need anyone’s help to make him look stupid. He’s doing an excellent job at that all by himself. Of course, having worshipers helps.

I finally know the answer to that question that has plagued me since childhood: Who is buried in Grant’s Tomb? Why grain to save us from 4 years of lean times if Carson ever became president.

While Ben Carson is an advocate of Christian Reconstructionist thinking that the secular democratic republic should be replaced with a theocracy and the US economy should be bible based, I’m sure he will take into consideration how other Americans feel as they have been so respectful of his opinions. If Ben Carson is who the voter’s truly want as president, it will be interesting to watch … from a distance.

“Like the mission accomplished sign put up by the crew of the aircraft carrier, reporting to the President that they had accomplished the mission he gave them.”Actually the banner was made & put in place by White House staff. Anyone with a clue about the situation, knew that our Iraqi travails were barely begun in May 2003. Thanks for helping me make my point about the danger of a President who believes what he wants to believe, rather than facts.

the joseph story should be interpreted as govt having a responsibility to tax when economy is strong (the high grain years of plenty) and providing assistance for the needy in weak economic times (the years of drought). how would the joseph story have played out if joseph had been a repub;ican?

Christians see Islam as a threat to their way of life. How do you think Muslims view Christianity? And yet both seek to tear into each other’s lands and force their religious doctrines on everyone else. Secularism doesn’t do this. And it is the correct way to go.

Why is it that some people think that if you’re qualified to do brain surgery, you are also qualified to run a country? Those two things require two entirely different bodies of knowledge.

jack75287If Islam always suppresses other religions, how did they have as Jew as governor of Damascus and a Christian governor of Bagdad under the Califates?

+1…and they do not get to ‘cherry-pick’ the most profitable segments of the business – they are charged and chartered with doing it ALL – as a societal need.

Uncle JoeThe “business-like” US Postal Service is a private corporation. From Franklin to Day, it was government. Then it was taken over by capitalists with no more rubber-stamp government participation than is required of the Federal Reserve (which is run by international commercial banks (too big to fail) for their own benefit. The last act of government, as the Post Office was snatched from their hands, was to saddle it with a requirement that they fund, within ten years, all pensions for the next 75 years – something no corporation has ever been required to do. And you think their problems are due to being part of the government (which they are in name only).

I was a new hire in the USPS when Reagan took office. Anyone remember how he determined the USPS, a semi-autonomous organization, with its own budget, was suddenly part of the government? And how the USPS was told to “save” money by cutting hours and closing offices on Saturdays? All so the “sainted” Ronnie could show how he “balanced” the budget!

I did the same; I was referred to the moderator, who basically told me to bugger off.
