I just mow over my leaves. Better for the grass and a lot less work.

I mow my leaves, too. And save some for the composter.

Put them on the garden or shrubs for mulch, or compost with grass clippings. A pile of leaves is mostly air, but it will settle down with a few rains and mostly decompose by spring, when you till in the remainder. It builds wonderful soil after a few years. If you have room for a tree, you have room for the leaves.

Leaves are nature’s way of recycling nutrients back into the soil. It’s a mistake to rake them up and take them away.

This is why I don’t rake
