Dez is a consummate world-traveling spiritualist and collector of bizarre artifacts (or reasonable touristic imitations thereof). How well or poorly this will coincide with Bernice being her roommate and an RA remains to be seen. It could be interesting….

Last fall Bern delighted in being the “most poopular” girl on campus when she accidently threw the party. Now that she’s “the heavy”, good-bye popularity & wild parties.

And let’s not criticize Dez’s choice in art— after all, she also kiindly bought a piece of Luann’s work.

Since H.S. graduation, last year, I am having some trouble with the continuity of the strip. Gunther has the tightest story lines involving Rosa, Peru, and Tiffany, but everyone else is so scattered. Knute and Crystal drop in occasionally, Brad & Toni make rare guest shots. At least Luann remains child-like and Quill exceedingly bland. Bernice has a new haircut, and the somewhat unpredictable and uncomfortable roommate, Dez. And, just when we were about to learn about the mysterious Mr. Gray……Poof, he’s gone for now. But, so far, Gunther has been the most dependable and interesting in the past year.

You can’t have some 18 year old freshman as a RA. They have to monitor drinking and such.

I like how Dez praises and encourages Bernice for being her opposite. That takes integrity.

Beauty’s in the eye of the beholder, of course. Not what I would care to see, however! And I would respectfully ask that they not all go up. Totally within the roomie’s rights to limit what or who is in the room..Also, do RAs often have roommates? At my college, they were given a room to themselves.

No more wild parties for Bernice. No more COOL.
