During the first COVID epidemic that we were ‘fast food’ eating while the TV was on and computers on the table. Each Wednesday, we took a break, ate in the dining room, no electronics, nice music and no matter what the menu was (sometimes whatever was in the refrigerator) dinner tasted so much better, we relaxed and had a leisurely dinner. It set the tone for the rest of the week. And, yes, the good china was used. Great grandmother said,if you have it use it, don’t save it for company.
The birds are not Cornish and not all hens. The females are too young to be egg layers and the males can’t be hens by definition. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornish_game_hen

Sounds good to me, but I’d skip the ’sparegrass.

I’d go with a slightly more robust varietal, if you’re sticking with white wine. A good oaked Chardonnay or white Bordeaux.

Is it a coincidence that this same wine is ordered by Alex on “Betty”?

You could have told her she is having chicken and cake (since Teena would undoubtedly skip the rest).

I was seldom asked what I would like, but whatever was served, I usually liked being first for seconds!

Too hot for cooking today, so I’m gonna make a big salad including cold leftover white meat chicken.
