So Duke is now identifying with a pelican. He’s more polluted than the Gulf Coast. There’s going to be billions of dollars in damages.

Lots of whales in the deep blue sea, we kill them for the companies. Drag ‘em alongside and chop ‘em in two, melt them down and sail it to you. There hardly is a sailor alive, who can keep a tear from his eye. Cause he remembers the good old days when there were no whales to save.

“take something to relax” ROFL I love these guys.

The reality isn’t funny, but the comic sure is. I don’t know how GT stays on top of his game year after year.

He’s hoping this ends with him getting scrubbed down by several ladies with dishwashing liquid.

The steel bristles on their scrub brushes just might bring him back to (what we laughingly call) “reality”…

A throwback to ‘73, when Duke was mostly comatose from drug use.

spoils of war. The entire Arab world tries to end a tiny nation, who defends itself and kicks their sorry butts. Gives back most of the land it won in war,but keeps a little for defence. At the outcry of the world, they try to trade land for peace, unsuccessfully again. Those poor citizens of Gaza have only launched 4000 unprovoked missile attacks against Israel. And the mean old Israelis have the nerve to blockage to search for weapons. Is not one of the fundamentals of Hamas to destroy Israel?Even our White House Press leader, Helen Thomas believes the Jews should go back where they came from. OK, fire back liberals.Let’s hear how the Jews are picking on the Arabs. Please keep in mind who David is standing with his puny sling.

Apparently Duke is going to appeal to animal lovers and get us to focus on the campaigns by BP (and XOM and CVX) to protect the environment.

As we become more resigned to the oil spill as an “act of God” (the insurers’ term), Duke’s strategy may work. Here’s why.

We all agree that SOMEONE is to blame for this reckless gambling with the environment, yet we can’t blame the “act” of a God who may not exist–or, if s/he does exist, doesn’t care.

That leaves only ourselves to suck up the blame. Watch Duke play on our guilt by running ads in this vein:

“Just by being alive, we’re all at risk. But we’re also survivors, like these brave pelicans. BP understands your deep concern and is committed to making our (strike the word “unpredictable,” Earl) environment as safe as possible, consistent with preserving the standard of living and the gasoline prices that are the birthright of every American (strike “and every clean pelican”).

“So the management want you to know that, while there may be some tradeoffs (strike the word “setbacks,” Earl) as we march together into the future, nonetheless you can be assured that BP (strike “devoted as always to serving the administration while acting on behalf of God, who has other business”) intends to be part of the solution and not the problem.”

A sustainable environment free of oil company control was lost in the bedroom, or maybe the backseat of a car. Overpopulation + over-consumption = profits and nobody divides by the cost of damages.

    Perfect comment, Bird.

Hey, wait a minute. I just thought of something. Jews should go back to where they came from? Poland, Germany, and the USA are all places they went to relatively recently. Guess where they originally came from?

Don’t hold your breath trying to figure it out. It’s Israel, of course.

I would find this hysterically funny except that it’s not funny at all. More ironic. This reasoning proves that Jews have a right to be in Israel.

These are all atrocities that we are talking about – the BP spill, the Israeli raids, the Hamas missiles.

However I think HT has just as much right to criticize Israel as GT has to criticize BP.

Either we can speak our minds here in America or we can’t and with the shinola coming out of Flush every day and nobody doing anything to stop it, HT is a mere blip on the screen.

Helen Thomas is a mere blip of 50 years service reporting on the White House.

She said what she had to say. To a rabbi. Heavens! The sky is falling!!
