Val: What do you think, Joan? Couldn't I just move that wall a few feet and squeeze in a small bathroom?
Joan: What's on the other side of that wall?
Holly: MY room.
Val: You don't mind giving up a little space, right, honey?
Could wind up like our Printer Room at work. We were supposed to be able to have space for a pallet at the end of the printer to stack the finished jobs. Builder “mislocated” a wall by a foot and we had to put the pallet in the work center on the other side of the double doors. They “gained” 18 × 1 feet of realistically unusable space. The computer room with our server farm, the printer room, and the room with all the phones systems, routers, networks switches were short a foot of space on one side of each room.
I love how the readers act like these are real people. It’s pretty good to pull that off! LOL I suspect we’ve forgotten that Holly is the drama queen in the family and can be a little snit at times. This will give a different spin on the whole story. Plus you have grandma up from Africa to help in the rehab I see a nice spin off of multiple themes here! I’d like if she’d at least age the kids at least a year or two….Alex needs to get out of grammar school….
Jan’s book, It seemed like a good idea at the time, is so on spot. The kitchen project should be interesting and thank goodness it is not my idea or project.
It’s really too bad that Joan’s room vanished into thin air as soon as she moved out. It would have been perfect now for the new addition to the household.

If that little bathroom goes into play, will Holly’s room be almost like a Japanese bedroom: have room for a futon instead of a bed?

who would want a bathroom that you have to squeeze into

If it’s a load-bearing wall, I foresee trouble.

I love the look on Holly’s face in panel two. LOL, if looks could kill, Val would be a goner. :)

Could make bathroom and a nice walk in closet with the room Joan moved away from.
