Does Alix even have friends? I don’t think I have ever seen her play with anyone other than Max or Holly. Even at school we mostly see her talking to that science teacher she likes.

More importantly than who are you going to invite is where will this be held? Are we talking at a church, town hall, backyard, while skydiving..oh wait, considering how Phil is doing that might not be such a good thing.

We actually did have a fairly small wedding with 40 guests. Mom didn’t even send out invitations (that costs money) but called people on the phone. Had my cousin bake a wedding cake (a fruit cake)!

is this strip going to focus on nothing but this goddam wedding for the next four months? to this pathetic excuse for a man?

That was the hardest part about my first marriage was keeping it super small. We compromised by only inviting family and very close friends to the actual ceremony (in the court house) and then we added about a dozen more friends for the reception.
My second marriage we just went to the court house, me, my now-hubby, and our toddler son. Easy peasy!

Edited to add: If I ever have a third marriage (let’s hope not!) I won’t even leave the living room. Ha!

Val knows very well that weddings take on a life of their own, once set in motion.
