Val: There's a certain point where wedding planning takes on a life of its own...everyone has an opinion about how it should go. Holly: MOM?! I found a website that rents doves and swans for HALF the price of everyone else!! Phil: Doves and swans? Val: I rest my case.

How about turtles and spiders for the little one. Less messy except for the running and screaming guests.

I wonder how they keep the swans and doves from flying off. GPS tracking? Or do you have to put down a deposit and hope for the best?

Didn’t Evie elope? Now we know why.

The doves are homing pigeons and the swans have had their wings clipped.

Holly your overdoing the wedding planning. Not sure if Alix will feel left out.

Did anyone see the Gilmore Girls episode, where bride to be, Sukie, gets drawn into “Emily land”, and begins to turn, what was going to be a simple wedding, into a ridiculous affair, with imported clowns and dwarfs, and God knows what else.

Once I read about a super-fancy-schmancy banquet put on by a rich nobleman many years ago in Europe, wherein guests ate at a long table with a channel of water in the middle in which swans were swimming. Things went a bit awry when the swans started mating!

No swans. They are beautiful but NASTY – like some super models I could mention. And my favorite memory of releasing doves after a wedding involves a bride who got overly enthusiastic and toss both the doves and her boobs. Consider well the implications of a strapless gown.
