Petey: There! I've finished my science project diorama- " Life Cycle of an Earthworm." Alice: Ooh! Petey: The baby earthworm busts out of its shell, hungry for dirt! Petey: Uh-oh! It's being chased by hook wielding fishermen and from starved robins! Petey: It escapes to Australia, where worms can grow 20 feet long! Petey: It attacks the Sydney Opera House, hungry for tenors! Alice: That's great! I love your work! Petey: I do my best thinking inside the box.

The miniature Sydney Opera House (and terrified tenor) is in itself a masterpiece! Congratulations, Petey, on your thinking inside the box!

That’s definitely outside the box. Way outside.

That is great. “Thinking inside the box” – perfect for a Little Neuro.

I fear the day Petey is elected president.

This seems out of character for Petey. He normally does everything by the book, or boring. More of something Alice would create when she was older.

Petey thrives under conditions of strict limits and order. I hope some English teacher recognizes this and teaches him how to write sonnets.

“Help la la la”? >>snicker<<I was about to remove this strip from my daily faves(kind of anemic, compared to Richard’s Poor Almanac). But maybe I’ll give it another week…

Nice try tenor, but your singing won’t scare him away. Maybe if you do some Slim Whitman.

The Sydney Opera should hire her/him; he/she could be casting director. I’m pretty sure tenors are toxic.

“It attacks the Sydney Opera House, hungry for tenors!”Huh… wasn’t that a Roger Corman movie?

This was great! Love this strip. Wonder what the worm could do with a countertenor?

Darn earthworm castings. It’s probably their fault.
