“digging foxholes is SO anal…” lennie bruce-1966.
In fact the entire socialist military is GAY, they sign-up to be mistreated. “just 2 weekends a year, and 2 weeks in the summer” sign up to die for royalist oil wars! The republic can not afford these constant wars, it will continue to break the nations economy- what NO one is reporting—playing right into osama’s hand. pay and pay for these wars, while china and the royals get the oil contracts( see Iraq). yr sons and daughters are dying for BP/CHINPAC awarded oil contracts.

We have to remember that if the Far Right hates it then there is nothing we can do, as good Americans we must also hate it.
After all the Far Right are all good Americans – even those poor polticians and preachers who get mis-lead by the Gays and go out and have have well have those affairs that GOD HATES, but we forgive the politicans and preachers, but not the gays because because, well we don’t have a good reason we just do.

Obama passed last June to stop ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ and the Patriot Act.. Now he wants to look into it. Let’s see what he does next.

Why does Irish Eddie hate so many of the troops that are protecting him?
Jason Allen over 14 years ago
That’s the mentally, Ken. Those of us who don’t conform to their standards are bad Christians and will go straight to Hell. Those who create the standard are good Christians, so they will be forgiven for not actually living the standard they created.
Look at all of the big has been evangelists and preachers before their fall from grace. They held themselves up as nearly as holy as God himself, yet they were the biggest sinners of them all.
The other issue is sexuality. “Conservatives” can forgive or down right ignore just about any sin except for sex. Gay sex is especially unforgivable, which is why some prominent “conservatives” are so deeply closeted.

It’s a homophobia outbreak!

Clinton was attempting to make the military accept gay soldiers. That he couldn’t, and fell short, was due to anti-gay culture.
To claim it was signed into law by a liberal is to mis-characterize what really happened. Yeah, he signed it into law, as a first step to allowing gays in the military.
Now, fortunately, even the top brass agree that gays can, and should, serve, much to the chagrin of homophobes everywhere (churchillwasright).

Irish–A man could feel just as threatened or vulnerable when a women who he has no intentions of getting together with (maybe in a bar rather than a shower) is looking at him in ways that does not make him feel comfortable. So why is it different when it is a man?
Also, just because you are a man standing naked next to a gay man does not necessarily mean he wants to get with you. He may thinking that you have a flabby butt and has no attraction to you. Many homosexuals are not predators; no more than heterosexuals.

If Irish were in charge, he’d extend Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell to females.

IrishEddie: “Women seek me out; they sense my power. I don’t avoid women, Captain Mandrake, but I deny them my essence.”
The gay man’s stock response to a straight man who is desperately afraid that he’s being “sized up”: “Don’t flatter yourself.”
d_legendary1 over 14 years ago
Actually Anthony he would be opposed to that idea. The bible doesn’t say anything about lesbianism.
riley05 over 14 years ago
I wasn’t talking about lesbians, Legend. IrishEddie feels uncomfortable because he assumes every single gay male wants to have sex with him. By extension, he must also feel that every single straight female feels the same, and therefore should be treated the same as gay males.
Jason Allen over 14 years ago
A hypothetical situation for Eddie and the other the male posters to ponder. Say you were, for whatever reason, showering in a woman’s communal shower. You are the only male in the shower filled with very athletic, yet attractive women. Knowing that the slightest misstep on your part may likely result in your being savagely beaten to death, would /you/ look???
Most gay’s I know wouldn’t look at other guys in the shower because
1) It’s in poor taste 2) In some situations it could get them beaten or killed 3) Most guys, including military personal, just aren’t that attractive
JoyceBV65 over 14 years ago
Well, if I was a soldier I wouldn’t much care who was watching my back. I have no problem with gays in the military or anywhere else. They’re all God’s children.
There have been gays in the military for centuries, get over it.

“Keep government out of people’s lives.”
Sorry, that isn’t the Republican Way.
The bigger and more intrusive government is, the better, they seem to believe.
At least on some issues…

“Rommel, you magnificent bastard! I READ YOUR DIARY! I think YOU’RE dreamy, TOO!”
“You know, Dick, if I had my way, I’d meet Rommel face to face; him in his tank-top and me in mine. We’d meet out there somewhere… salute each other, maybe drink a toast, then we’d oil up and wrestle. The winner would decide the outcome of the entire war. Then we’d have another drink, maybe dinner by candlelight. A long weekend in Ibeza…”
