1987???!!! How can you still have a paper from 1987?! That is a seriously long time ago! No wonder you can’t find the bikes, Val! =-O

That is not do bad. It took me 15 years after the seven years that you are supposed to hold on to your IRS return to get my wife to throw away our first joint return(this year we are getting close to 50yrs of married life) and I still don’t think she has thrown away years two through thirty ! ! ! !

When my sister and I helped my mom move into a retirement home, we found the income tax papers from the year we were born – 1942 and ’47. My dad was a clergyman; do you know how many times those papers got lugged from state to state?

Yeah, but you know just as soon as you throw them away, they’re needed!

Way back then seems like yesterday to me!

Maybe she’s a Twins fan and kept it, all these years, as a memento of their first World Series championship. I have, but I don’t keep it in the garage (it’s in a bit better shape than if I had).

I was in my late 20’s living in WA state. Now I’m back in CA, have a kid and she’s in college. wow.

I was 27 in 1987, plus I got married that year. Hubby and I probably have stuff that is that old.
