Earl thats cheating,now the cake will dry up,unless you and Opal hurry up and eat it.

Looks like a rectangular doughnut.

Only Earl would cut out a piece of cake like that.

You want sweet, Earl? Take a corner—it has more frosting..Unless this was a filling like custard in it, then you had it right.

If it’s slightly undercooked then the middle will be nice and gooey.

Add to my list: people who frost the cake while it’s still in the pan. And when it’s done correctly, I like a middle piece too because I’m not a big fan of frosting.

I like the corners. Especially corner-brownies.

A good way to avoid the sweet goo around the edge.

Cake is cake. Just because you don’t see this done very often, doesn’t mean it can’t be done this way.

It ticks me off that she doesn’t appreciate Earl’s original idea.

that is like cutting he heart out of a watermelon, that is the sweetest spot and it is right in the middle of the melon…..cheater.

It ticks me off that she ASSUMES that he’s writing things about her. He said “things that tick me off” not “things Opal does that tick me off”

If the cake is any good, it’s ALL sweet spot! ;)

It’s not easy to cut a piece right out of the middle and be that neat about it. Earl’s got skills!

Yep, give me a crusty corner too, With all the corner lovers commenting, we should all be thankful for those who prefer a center cut.

I wonder why she assumes she is on the list?.I used to bake cupcakes and give them to my wife to give her students. They wondered, “Why no icing.”“He says he doesn’t like icing.”Some accepted the answer and ate the cupcakes. I didn’t care about the rest.

All he had to do was camouflage it by filling the hole with icing. Earl you really need to give things a bit more thought!

If Earl & Opal went to marriage councelling then the councellor might make them write a list of what ticks them both off about each other.

Earl went for the cookie-cutter solution.

My teen-age son did that after I refused to drop what I was doing & go cut a piece for him. I think he had seen it on an episode of Cosby.

Opal has no reason to assume she’s even on Earl’s list (perhaps she realizes that she sometimes treats him pretty bad, but I doubt it!) but cutting a piece of cake right out of the middle is also just wrong
