YEAAAAAA!!!! Abner Kadaver is the BEST villain going now, hands down! This is the one new story thread that can gladly put Moon Mystery maid on hold…..and yes, just in time for Halloween again…..they should make him a Halloween regular!

Yes, I’d have to agree, this character is the best of the new bad guys. He basically beat Tracy last time; only the fact the comic’s namesake can’t be killed off saved him from the pendulum. Hopefully he’ll be allowed to kill off a lesser regular or two this time around, anyways; it has been too light hearted around here lately.

Probably not a subplot, Mikey; I figure he’ll be joining Stiletta and company in the previous one they briefly started before all this moon business.

I’m wondering who Rikki is…..

Could this mystery visitor be a woman (a Kadaver Kutie) who is a groupie that’s been writing to him in prison, fell in love with him, and is now engaged to be married to him ? Only time will tell. Opinions, anyone ?

I thought the big finale at the farm was a little disappointing. Oh well.

Hmm, can anyone think of a pun that Rikki’s name would work in to match Abner Kadaver?

Good to see Abner again, yes. But I’d have to disagree that he’s looking well; he seems to have shrunk considerably in both height and weight (not everything we saw before was just top hat and cloak!). I don’t know who Rikki is, nor who Venus is. Nor who the Consortium higher-ups are, nor the Apparatus higher-ups. Nor who “Moon Maid” is. Nor what may become of Flash Munro, S. Tim Sail, and Zy Ghote. Nor where are Doubleup and the assorted other baddies from the fizzled shootout at the Wheaton Farm [would that be Cantigny?(a Chicagoland/Tribune inside joke)]. I can appreciate the arc-writing technique of bridging, but I do think we may have too many sub-plots spinning at once; it’s getting to be like the old vaudeville stage act (often seen on TV in its early days) of spinning plates atop thin rods. You just wait for some to start falling….

All the people who know the story’s of Mysta’s origin will be dead before the strip ever tells us, right? So we’ll never know?

It also looks like the DOC guard might be related to Pop Wheaton. And finally, most of the prisons I’ve seen don’t let the inmates grow hair like that.

SDM, I hate to bring this up, but your “public scolding” yesterday was a sophomoric attempt at showmanship. I never said anything vulgar or obscene, as you definitely know, and as most of the people here know. They know I do not do that. I merely pointed out the gif that you posted (in spite of GoComics asking you not do), in which you pictured an elephant asleep on a pillow in a person’s bed, and assumed you took the picture. You followed up with a self-serving snarky response about your good taste. Does that extend to pictures of Holocaust photos of dead bodies piled up, or “Jamaica J*** Offs”, as cited above in your last post?

just wondering out loud here for a moment… but was any “explanation” given for abner’s appearance? like, we know haf-and-haf’s deformity was due to acid and putty puss’ was plastic surgery gone wrong (i think).. but what’s the skinny on kadaver’s distinct look… or is he “Just a Gruesome?”

Abner looks great! when he breaks out of prison, I think Abbie should ditch the Cape and Hat, but he should keep the knives and swords! Maybe Mike and Joe can give Abner a slight “tan” (From the current “Walking Dead” series) and make Mr. Kadaver into the dude that appears on “Iron Maiden” records. I think that guy’s name is Eddie! I loved looking at the album cover of “Killers!”

well stilldamatt since i only READ that godawful strip once and never went back, i wasnt aware that TPTB were smart enough to cancel it so i used the PROPER tense to begin with

since mike and joe have been trodding out the old tracy villains from the RKO series of flicks (they already used.. and killed off… cueball!) ya think theres a possibility theyll use others?

theres GRUESOME and SPLITFACE and THE CLAW.. so if they stick with their current pattern of introducing a new storyline hint and**NOT** getting back to it for almost a year or so.. then they got at LEAST three years worth of stories right there :)

as for kadaver and HIS story… well, they still gotta get thru the stiletta and blackjack story (why they used doubleup, mumbles and b.b.eyes in the moon maid lite story to a “no conclusion” is beyond me) before they can even come CLOSE to a kadaver one.

plus i am still keeping track, and it SHOULD be soon that we finally get the return of bonnie braids to tracyville too. maybe she will come back home to lend moral support to her brother Junior when he finds out the ultimate truth about moon maid lite.

now all we need is a return of B.U. Tiffil, Perfume Plenty, Sue Reel, Art Dekko, Zelda, Haf-And-Haf, and Torcher (why not chuck Measles in there too.. i’m still banking on the “he wasnt dead just in a medically induced coma” angle lol)

Heck, if (some sort of) Moon Maid can come back from that horrific explosion, then Torcher could certainly have survived his accident in that dead end alleyway (besides… Tracy and Pals didnt actuallt SEE the car crash, they simply turned the corner and saw the car mangled and on fire.. assuming that Torcher was still inside… and as we learned from THIS headache of a storyline, just because youre in a car that blows u p, DOESNT necessarily mean youre dead!)

curiously, I wonder if that alley where Torcher supposedly met his demise is the SAME alleyway that Blackjack set up his own shootout with tracy earlier this year

oh, and one more thing… I wonder what part of the MUC/S Department/Police Department Building FRITZ ANN is wandering around. Last time we saw HER she was sitting on the edge of Sam’s desk (i believe) talkling about what a shame it was that bardhal died… but after THAT… she disappeared.

No, Rikki did NOT lose his number… And by the way she is dressed, I’m surprised we haven’t heard of her before. (Same kind of outfit, same color, etc.)

Aw, hell…I either forgot about Angeltop blowing herself up or was not reading the strip during that time, which could have been the case in the pre-internet 1980s. [I just Googled Angeltop and read her bio]

Nah…… I thought it a bit amusing that since StillDeMatt posted that picture, he must have taken the picture as he was waking up. He pounced all over that, taking personal offense that I thought he was weird, like sleeping with animals and such. He can dish it out, but goes beserk when it comes to him.

I used to check it a couple times a week, if for no other reason, to see that Matt was the major poster there. He only had a few loyals that posted, and he outposted them two to one. I shortened the name of the strip to S&M when I referenced it. Matt took some serious license to parody Star Trek and then ran a Dick Tracy parody and I suspected that they jumped up his backside, but he said the owners of those enterprises are cool with him copying them. Who knows? But it’s gone. The only serious stab he made was a sermon about bullying….. considering the source, that is kind if amusing.

He looks like my 8th grade gym teacher…
