Gosh BEV. you left me all alone rambling on the other side. I had no idea we were at the turn. No wonder I am falling asleep here.SUSAN’S appearance should have been my clue. Last I heard, she escaped in Elvis.I feel Gavin’s dark mood upon me. I hope I sleep now….

Oh LING, I forgot to refresh and I missed you. I thought SUSAN would have been thrilled to be BEV’s first patient. Maybe BEV can do your eye for you instead?

LING? Sigh. I guess I’ll get out of these scrubs (in matching peach gingham) and slip into something more comfortable, like my bed Night all.

Well, I think his moods wouldn’t be so dark if he’d quit breaking all the lamps!Everything would seem much brighter with a little gosh-darn light on it!Yeah, yeah, I know….

    Literal, figurative…. figures of speech…..

    Who cares!

Just stoppin’ in for my mornin’ cuppa – black, no sugar, no milk, and definitely, no lemon.Poor Susan. Bev and I were just trying to help her out of her appendix. I’m pretty handy at cutting people open. I also am a fair hand at stitching ‘em up. So I’d of kinda kept my good eye on Bev, seeing as she’s a novice surgeon and all. And I’d have provided a killer anesthetic… er …poor choice of words…make that a wonderfully powerful anesthetic with no side effects ( to speak of ). What could possible have gone wrong ?By the way, where do Susan run off to ?

I can’t help but wonder if Gavin’s book was what set him off… maybe Stel knows what he’s been reading, lately. I heard he still has several books over-due at the Ballard St. Library…including “How To Overcome Stress” by R.E. Lachs

@DAZZ, yesterday…..What we are suggesting is not that you try to find the “right one”, but that you just let things happen as they may. As I know myself, we can try TOO hard and end up looking in the wrong places. I gave up being predatory and just went with the flow. Sometimes we think we are in control but we forget just what we need and pay too much attention to what we want.

HI BEV. Ah, LING asked me to tell you that they have a sale on Che Tees in Cuba, and he’s having lunch, yes, yes, I’m sure he said lunch, with a Cuban doctor there. You know, he seemed to be breathless when he bumped into me, and kept slipping into Spanish, but I’m sure that is the message he wanted me to give you. But keep the operating theatre ready, and you and 2old2 practice scalpel and forceps passing. It’s like a relay race. Timing is everything. And I think Hiwiian print scrubs look great!

I hope Lings eye work goes well. I’ve thought about having one eye done sometimes when driving. I’ve always been near in one and far in the other and they automatically compensate, but night driving is difficult and some events I attend (arts and crafts groups) are evenings.

If I wear a patch it will definitely have sequins and possibly even pearls and gems (depending on how long I’d plan to wear it. Most of my costumes I’ve done have quite a lot of embroidery or beading work. I think the next gown will be very late period (almost Elizabethan). I surely will make it in my heraldic red and blue with gold and silver.

I was cleaning out some of the tall pantries today looking for some stuff. I have WAY too many odd shape cake pans (hearts and flowers) and little bird and animal molds for chocolate. I even have a whole box of royal icing flowers I premade (I really hate the taste of royal icing but it holds up better when very dry). It was cool enough here to wear a long sleeve shirt (very light knit silk).

I need to remake my heraldic surcote; it fit too loosely even prior to my setting slimmer. The gowns to wear underneath are no problem. I spent weeks sewing over 600 pearls on that silk taffeta surcote shortly after Cuddles died in 2008. She was already a part of my official registered arms (above). Originally the dress had no pearls (or just an outline over the applique).

DAZZ I have quite quickly gone through the comments. Yours caught my eye! You miss Cuddles so VERY MUCH and that was a LOVELY way of remembering and paying homage to your best friend! It has been 23 years since I lost my dog Teddy, he was 17, my other dog, Gallagher, adopted/rescued a few weeks after, passed about 8 months before that at about the same age. to THIS DAY, I MISS THEM SO SO VERY MUCH!

I totally LOVE to see Stel’s newsletters (can’t imagine how long it took her to make considering how long just to read every part). I think that Stew and Sally could use the guys in costume who danced to Bird is the Word (above link) for their Poultry Monday.

I might myself participate in Whimsical Wednesdays; I may have to stop by Stel’s WWOI for that bluejay costume(or her other variations). I still have the body of my Cockatoo costume but have not made a new mask. The original papier mache was rather uncomfortable on my face (I had glued in some strips of foam where it touched). I just ordered a bunch of tights/leggings today (cheapest at Target) in a good assortment of colors. That will be good for working out and still be semi dressed if I have to answer the door; now that I work out every day I need more to wait for a load of laundry.
