YES! I was hoping we’d get something like this!Love this story; it’s good as Gould.Great art, from the first panel of the the lonely farm to the climatic unveiling. And those last panels remind me of the classic Fleisher Bros. cartoons, wherein Clark Kent (insert Bud Collyer’s voice) says, “This looks like a job for…Superman

As long as the last panel is not spoken in the helium induced voice that they gave her in the DT cartoons…

Lame…very lame. Pops wheaton caved in a heartbeat and tells nellie that “we’re ruined” so he has to sign over fracking rights and sell the farm too? I musta missed the part where they becsme “ruined”…sounds like yet another sweatbox ending to me

ok this will be the first time I have responded to the DT comic. Although I never read DT in the comics while growing up, I do like a good storyline. DT is the only comic I have being sent to my email. As such, I have become a fan. I must say that reading these strips the last few months has been very enjoyable. I really like the art and the Police Blotters on Sunday have been nice as well.

@Pequod77 Your poetry has also become enjoyable. Nice work and great penmanship. I agree that when they should gather up your work when a Dick Tracy book is compiled. It would make for a great addition to the stories.

Ok, with all that said, OMG. Things are going to heat up FAST. I do not want to be in Hy Pressure’s shoes. Or anywhere near him when MM finds him.

I’m not sure how much time has passed since they invited MM to stay with them at the farm, but I presume they have had at least one meal together, and we saw Nellie having a conversation with the woman they know as “Mindy”. Are they not the least bit curious as to why she wears a hood at all times, even indoors? That feels like a hole in the story to me – even a panel where Nellie is privately discussing the issue with her father would have been enough to smooth over that rough spot in the story. Still. I am interested to see where this goes.

It’s not over till it’s over, so we’ll see if it has a “sweatbox ending.” In any case, this was an early attempt at a longer story format and it’s been great so far, but Mike has promised more extended chase segments in future, so that aspect should improve. I everything is already written for about the next 6 months.

Night,.Re your comment:.“I’d like to see more information on Dr. Frances McGill.”.It’s worth noting that her importance to the history of the R.C.M.P. is so profound that she is remembered as the “first woman Mountie” despite the fact that she was actually a civilian employee..She never carried a gun, wore the red coat, nor made an arrest, but her contributions were important enough to earn her that title..You can find a short article on her career, written by herself, here:.http://www.sciencetech.technomuses.ca/english/about/hallfame/u_i23_e.cfm.Thanks for the kind comments, Night-Gaunt. You, too, NightShade.

I see I caused some confusion. Bud Collyer was the voice of Superman in the 1940s radio series, the Fleisher Bros. cartoons (still spectacular) and the 1960s Fillmation cartoon series for CBS.
