I must say that I really enjoy these interludes with Grandmammy Gravel Gertie and good old B.O. Plenty! And it’s nice to see Sparkle and Jewel, too. So, what’s up at Sunny Dell Acres? I hope no villain is lurking around the premises….
It’s nice to see how the rest of the world is fairing while the Jumbler is at work. He might have saved some money if he had used marbles instead of ball bearings.
B. O. Plenty may be physically repulsive, but I would trust him with my eyeteeth! And I’ll bet that he will be the one who solves the mystery of “The Jumbler.”
Unfortunately, I think BO’s new look is more of a “GoComics colorist” thing (rather than using “Just for Men” or the comic strip equivalent). As for what’s up? I’m willing to bet it ties -into next month’s story arc (as Junior already told Tracy there was “trouble in paradise”)…
When I saw this, I thought back to ‘Big Boy’s Contract’. In which one sub-plot had BO disowning Sparkle. I also remember the tender reunion. It’s nice to see Sparkle with the family in this strip.
Also this is a pleasure to read in the context that this is an old /gouldian/ throwback. Where he’d interrupt the strip to say something like ‘Sparkle is 4 years old’ or some-such. Well done, gentlemen!

B.O. is actually looking fairly presentable. How odd.

Good morning VB and all. I think the Jumbler used ball bearings because he lost his marbles some time ago.

Can’t be sure to whom you are referring, but I have noticed that the number of comments is definitely down.
