    Aside from the coloring (which is usually done on the dailies by GoComics staffers), I found today’s strip to be “Ernie-esque”.

    Every Steward of a classic strip puts their own unique take on it.

    This vehicle looks much like “The Mangler”, which was manufactured by toymaker Mego during the 1970s — much of Mego’s merchandise was advertised in comic books by Heroes World, during that era. If anyone’s curious, check-out “Mego Museum” on both the internet, and Facebook…

    The “buckets” were simply referred to as “Magnetic Air Cars”, which were everntually modified to include a windshield. By the early 70’s, those had been retired for the Diet Smith-designed “2-Man Air Car”, which was a true horizontal police vehicle…
