I got too tired last night. Turned in early. Day off. Right now I’m mooching painfully slow wi-fi on a commuter train. I can ride for free because I work for the Transit Authority.

Thanks for the coffee, Monkey…and for for letting me sleep in…well, for kinda letting me sleep in…‘cept for… you know…well, monkeys will be monkeys…But it’s OKMuch appreciated.

Time to get started….a little more coffee and a couple of tomatoes…maybe a donut?

And then I’ll fire up the grinder…Can’t do TOO much today, so this is a good place to be.Among friends….. making fresh tomato bloody merries….Hair of the dog for some…( No, not really, Horatio…it’s just an expression.A human expression.Ask Fenton.Don’t look at me like that!)

I’m surprised I want a doughnut… but I guess I’m still tired.All day yesterday we ate sugar and salt just to keep going…I brought tuna salad and wheat bread, and of course, tomatoes, others brought grapes, and cheese…but what disappears when you’re fighting fatigue is the chips and cookies

BTW… speaking of munchies and stuff…Must be hard to be sheriff in a county with different laws in different parts.

Here in western Ballard County it’s just medicinal use, too…. for that particular herb.Doctors orders…but if you see who gets it…I think some doctors prescribe it for…. you know…. freckles….a severe case of breathing….incurable hair lengthening…not that I care.

I could easily get a prescription….but I don’t want one.Not against it…. just plain don’t like it.Sigh…all appearances to the contrary notwithstanding,(and there are many) I actually failed Hippie 101.

Oh Linguist…. that sounds great.Much better for me than doughnuts…and does “Gaelic coffee” also mean …um…. hair of the dog?

Linda…. you’re a nice lady…. and I’m sure if you asked nicely, almost anyone on Ballard St. would share their soda bread….but please stay out of my banana suit…it’s kinda personal!
