There’s a bit on the blog’s storage caves here:

    http://www.cosmotourist.com/travel/d/i/2536062/t/maastricht/caves-of-st-pietersberg/

The St. Pietersberg caves are in Maastricht, Netherlands. They originated as limestone quarries, and over the centuries reached an extent of some sixty kilometers.

Those wings the guy on the right has are no more than vestigial: he’s in no position to be criticizing someone for a lack of functional genitalia! Now you two touch mandibles and come out fighting!

The blog: My pastry clock would also have cups of tea and espresso placed around it at suitable intervals.

Do not ask for whom the genitalia functions. It functions for thee.

Raymond Loewy deserves to be proud of the locomotives he designed, but he was an amazingly prolific industrial and graphic designer whose career spanned most of the 20th century. Notable designs we owe to Loewy are the Gestetner mimeograph machine, the Boeing 307, the International Harvester Farmall tractor series and Metro series of vans and trucks. He designed the Studebaker Avanti, certain components for Harley Davidson, several Electrolux models, the Sears Coldspot refrigerator, a redesign of the Coca Cola bottle, parts of Skylab, the interior of the Air France Concorde, and numerous logos, including Lucky Strike, Shell, Exxon, Chubb, Studebaker, and the John F. Kennedy 5-cent postage stamp. He also designed the USPS eagle logo, and Air Force One’s distinctive blue, white, and chrome livery.

The Little Willies put me in mind of a local rockabilly star Little Enis, for some reason. Arguably the world’s best upside-down left-handed Rockabilly 12-string guitar player. At least as of 1976, when he died.

There’s plenty of genitalia out there that are good for everything except their original purpose of reproduction.

If you want to find more images of those lovely art deco steam engines (“steamliners”) look for “Empire State Express”.

The Mt. Rainier photo on the blog reminds me of two favorite novels: Big Rock Candy Mountain by Wallace Stegner and Cat’s Eye by Margaret Atwood.

My pastry clock would have tinted cordial glasses of absinthe.

Blog: Lordy! I near split a gut watching “Ice Dude” (after my initial empathic pain-jolt). Even the unexpected and severe pain couldn’t keep the ice dude from eventually convulsing into cathartic laughter.
