The German soldiers were in northern Africa as part of the Afrika Korps.

1911-1912. Italy takes control of what is now Libya.

1936, Germany and Italy became allies, signing the “Pact of Steel” to form the Rome-Berlin Axis (hence the Axis name, based on the belief that the world revolved around their fascist power)

September 1939. World War II begins. Italy stays neutral.

May 1940 The German blitzkrieg is launched against the British and French armies in northern France, incidentally conquering Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg.

June 1940: France is clearly losing the war. Eager to get some of the spoils, Mussolini declares war against France and attacks in the south. This also brings him into the war against Britain.

France falls. Britain stays in the war. Britain attacks Libya from Egypt. In April 1941, Italy is losing badly. Hitler sends men, tanks and aircraft to prop up the Italians against the British Eighth Army. Hitler also hopes that he can push through Egypt to the Suez Canal. Taking Suez might force Britain out of the war, so it’s a worthwhile gamble. Except the war gets stalemated; the British and Axis forces go back and forth across the northern Africa coast for almost two years. By the time the Americans and British force the Axis out of northern Africa, Hitler has lost about as many men as he loses at Stalingrad.

The mutual spanking is O.K., but my favorite part is viewing my scantily-clad dominatrix"s shape, her fishnet stockings, long blonde hair, her high heels poking me, and her letting me have it with the whip.

The visible portion of the rat in the blog are not his buttocks but his testicles. No sign of a hydrocele.

Wow! Spanking, suggestions about Anita Ekberg looking like a dominatrix, all those German butts fleeing into the Mediterranean, presumably in hasty retreat from a spankin’, and Nurse Margaret about using a feminine syringe. … No, nothing to give a person ideas here …

    Re: Helmets

The article fudges a bit on American helmets in WW I. Our version of the British Brodie helmet was virtually identical to the British versions. We started producing it in early 1918, after buying several hundred thousand helmets from the British. We also used the French Adrian helmet early in the war; the Adrian helmet was issued to the first American units to reach Europe, although it was later replaced with the American tin hat. (We used a lot of British and French equipment. Our war production was badly organized and nearly collapsed in December 1917. It took a lot of government intervention to fix the situation.)

That airship on the blog isn’t the Russian Gigant, a prototype Zeppelin bomber which is pictured and described here:

    http://tinyurl.com/bw2krav

It looks like a British SS blimp from WW I. There were a lot of variants of the SS (Sea Scout or Submarine Scout) which were used to hunt U-boats. Equipped with a single .30 caliber machine gun and one or two small bombs, they were highly effective at limiting U-boat activity. As in WW II, their presence forced U-boats to stay submerged, restricting their ability to move and attack.
