Telling your teacher will be good practice for when you grow up and tell your therapist.

Look on the bright side, Calvin; you get to stay up a little later than usual.

That brain machine would really come in handy here.

I hate to think of Calvin growing up to be a lazy good-for-nothing a la Andy Capp, Dagwood Bumstead, or Dustin.

He’ll see that ‘F’ from the word ‘fault’ again . . . on his report card

Watterson just sunmed up Gen-Z and had no idea that would happen!

There are other things you deserve, Calvin…

Come on, Calvin, just write a few sentences about dinosaurs, already.

Growing up, it was homework first, then whatever chores we had, then we cold watch tv or play. Can’t say that that regimen did me any harm.

Dream on, Calvin. You’re always right; so it may just work this time.

Calvin’s homework efforts, if not productive, are at least consistent. If Calvin ever turned in a thoroughly researched, thoughtful and well-written paper, I think Miss Wormwood would be suspicious.

What you deserve depends on the quality of your work, Calvin. You have no one to blame but yourself.

Maybe if Calvin decided to use that “Cerebral Enhance-O-Tron” thinking cap to augment his brain a second time, he could’ve made some good progress on his paper…

More and more he sounds like a certain politician! Maybe any politician!

Hmm… that’s one excuse I don’t think I ever got from my students

Um, “My mom ate my homework.” won’t do here, either…

I’m sure Miss Wormwood will understand. Really.
