Get the car, then she’ll dress like that. You may have to implant a pair of implants though.

$40,000, huh….. reminds me of the very early 70’s. A friend let me drive his XKE, but with the admonishment to be VERY careful, that car cost $10,000 ! What’ll 10K buy you now? Of course, I was making 1.60 an hour at the time…

I could have used intimating instead of insinuating in my first comment. Intimating could have a double meaning in this context.

@brilligmimsy,I don’t think you’re ’bark’ing up the wrong tree. It would have helped if I hadn’t considered that the very heavy rain might be a fence. You got to the ‘root’ of the matter. Now tell me what the Rorschach ink blot shows!Thank you to Lovecraft, MysteryCat and Igo for responding, as well!

Some of my all-time favorite beer quotes:

“Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.” — Dave Barry

“24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case. Coincidence?” — Stephen Wright, comedian

“Pretty women make us BUY beer. Ugly women make us DRINK beer.” — Al Bundy, Married with Children

“To alcohol! The cause of, and solution to, all of life’s problems.” — Homer Simpson, The Simpsons

Wasn’t Calvin’s dad a successful patent attorney or something? It always seemed to me like he could definitely afford a $40,000 car. Hell, that’s not too far above my reach, and I’m just an insurance adjuster.
