There is a Shakey’s about 25 miles from me. Never have eaten there as there are really good pizza places all around here.

“Really good dessert”? Is that what they’re calling it these days?

Isn’t writing the strength of the strip? It sure can’t be the artwork.

One of my brothers never learned to drive so when he’d come in from the East Coast to visit our parents, he would take the Greyhound down from Seattle. One time he was waiting at the terminal and a bum came up to him and asked if he could spare some change. My brother fidgeted around in his pockets but couldn’t come up with any coins. The bum looked at my brother, reached into his pocket, and pullled out a quarter that he flipped to my brother. He said, “you look like you need it more than I do,” and walked off. Weirdly, at the time, my brother was a well-paid programmer working on “Star Wars” project, and based in the Pentagon with the highest of security clearances.

At work, the men’s bathroom had three urinals and three stalls. According to the other supervisor on the floor, there was a guy coming down from the floor above us who would drop a deuce in one of the stalls and wouldn’t flush it. So he talked to our Facilites folk and they put int toilets with sensors that would automatially flush after someone did their duty (pun!) and stood up. Darned if the goof didn’t start putting a yellow sticky over the sensor!

Isn’t he trying to get his “bat” into her “cave?” Maybe he didn’t out enough “pine tar” on it.

I posted this late last night about “Matt Marriott”, a British comic strip. If you like Westerns, check it out.

I have started to post a “new” strip, “Matt Marriott”, over on the Alley Oop blog page at: mooviansblogspotcom/2024/05/. It has been described as the best western comic strip ever and I am interested to see if that is close to being true. The strip is unique in that the two main characters, Matt Marriott and “Powder” Horn, age thoughout the 22-year run.

Add a period after moovians and before com to make this work.

Thank you. Way before I started reading the strip. I plowed through a bunch of the intro story to get an idea of what she was like.

Who was Trudy? When did she appear?
