   Actually, he did mention the “40 years in the desert part” in his inauguration speech, but a lot of people enjoy complaining. He said it would be hard and he said it would take time to fix.

   Having now read the other comments, I see how asaid came up with that. I think the comments amply demonstrate that none of us are perfect, not even Dr King, but what do you want from mere men? Let us continue to strive for out ideals. Obviously we have had some successes over the years or we’d still be huddled in caves.
