I hope you’re sitting down, because this is likely to blow your mind.

Some of ‘us’ were born outside of marriage.

Stephanie and Ted Rall seem to be on the same wavelength today.

Wow – trenchant with a capital T. The wingnuts will not be pleased (assuming that they get the reference).

And the howlers keep on coming…

“Capitalism recognizes men are evil & accounts for it.”

How can anyone square this statement of faith with global climate change, financial meltdowns, jobless “recoveries”, growing concentration of wealth, etc. etc. etc.

The best thing you can say about unregulated capitalism is that it doesn’t care whether men (or women) are evil or not. Reading the newspaper leads me to wonder whether it doesn’t actually promote evil.

Now, I don’t buy Ms McMillan’s revolutionary rhetoric. I don’t want to tear things down only to discover that the cure turns out to be worse than the disease. But you’d have to be willfully blind to think that unregulated capitalism promotes ethical behaviour.

    How about this:

The USA has done more to this world than any other Nation on earth!

Dalmatians are white dogs with black spots, often seen with fire trucks in olden tymes – see wikipedia for more info.

In representing them as dice, Toles seems to be commenting that the global response to GW is gambling with our future. Sure it’s a forced analogy and not exactly ROFL-funny, but you know what they say about desperate times…

I think RE’s last line indicates that he’s being satirical.

Brilliantly done. We need more cartoonists skewering horse-race journalism.

We’re waiting for American troops to leave Iraq.

We’re waiting for health care reform that is worthy of the name.

Basically we’re waiting for some sign - any sign - that Barack Obama will fulfill the hopes we invested in him.

Ted thinks we’ll be waiting a long, long time.

I’ve thought Ted has been too hard on Obama but frankly I’m starting to come around to his point of view.
