    The time change was often mysterious in its details. Why did the TV Guide show an unbroken procession of shows? What happens to this movie when an hour goes away? Based on what I know now, they probably just cut it off unfinished.

    I was in the Denver bus station once when the changeover took place. As far as I could determine, it made no difference in anything, even though it would seem to require that the buses magically get themselves an hour closer to or farther from the station in a second. Not as easy as cutting off a movie in mid-showing.
    .
    Overthinking it, but it’s the 1 a.m. hour somewhere.

    Best thing I ever remember hearing about this subject, was a drunk in a bar somewhere, who claimed that since the clocks were now set back one hour, the bar should remain open for one more hour, and became belligerent when they tried to kick him out the door. He lost the argument though, when the police were called.

    @AtypicalReader

    That’s how we did it at a bar I worked, and the cops never complained.
