    Stephanie and Ted Rall seem to be on the same wavelength today.

    Little Steffi probably thinks that being a cartoonist is hard work. Must not be too difficult- she still spends a lot of time as a socialist activist. If the only skills you have developed are psycho-motor, all you can do is sell your time performing monkey functions. There are now more monkeys than functions. This drives down the price of monkeys. Supply and demand.

    Always keep that modifier, “Free”, when promoting capitalism.
    Free Market Capitalism.
    Capitalists are not to be trusted, as Adam Smith points out. They are as selfish and greedy as bureaucrats and Socialist dictators.
    “Crony” Capitalism can devolve into something like the above, but that generally requires the strong arm of the state to suppress free markets. In practice: capitalists in cahoots with Socialists.
    Free Market Capitalism requires the opposite from the state.

    Oh please, the last slave labor camps were in societies that weren’t capitalist, USSR and Nazi Germany.

    @banjoaah

    Unions provided a service to their members during the industrial revolution. Sadly, today the union management has joined the 1%ers. They are about everything but their initial mission. Unions today breed mediocrity. In our global economy, there is no room for mediocrity.

    Slaves are just as disposable. Our society is moving toward human disposability. Only they won’t be called slaves. Even indentured servants won’t be spoken of. Not that it matters if the reality is still it.

    Wrong, this shows what happens when humanity is reduced to labor. Whether under unrestricted Capitalism or unrestricted Socialism. But combine the two and humanity has a chance of being worth more than a commodity controlled by the 1%.

    But in Free Capitalist states slave labor existed in company towns, workers paid in company script with no chance of bettering themselves. Much more fiendish in how it was hidden in plain sight.

    You obvious missed the counter revolution against us started in 1980 after the aborted attempt in 1933. The Plutocrats. Taking their time and so far that I can see, are winning more than losing. Slow, all enveloping till they run the govt. Right now parts of our govt cannot run without them.
