    You can tell that this isn’t an Irish wake, as there is no body on the table.

    /// Julius Paulsen was throwing a party.

    He’s a painter, so guests expect arty.

    “Gourmet food, wines to drink,

    and nude models, I’d think.”

    thought Prof. Brainard, (a certified smarty).

    /// But when guests arrived, none were acquainted.

    Meager food, so a few nearly fainted.

    Conversation was dull;

    small talk then a long lull.

    They’re invited to pose and be painted.

    Apparently the painter is the only guest to get bleary-eyed drunk. Well, at least somebody is having fun.

    That’s the last time I invite my cousin Pat. He said he was a comedian, he said he’s been on TV with a famous couple of brothers, he said he ran for president, he said he was funny. But no – he’s so dead pan, he put everyone to sleep.

    A Party in the Artist’s Home

    Paste (including the quote marks)

    "Category:Living rooms in Denmark in art" site=commons.wikimedia.org

    (syntax supported by the Google, Bing, Yahoo, Ecosia and Yandex search engines) in the browser address bar (or search for it using one of those search engines) and choose the first Category: found and once there find the text string kms3313, and click its link for info and links that point to more info (perhaps best viewed using Google Chrome, which can automatically translate most webpages if necessary) about this huge painting.

    Again, a larger strip image is shown by (Ctrl- or right-) clicking the image in Mr. Melcher’s MASTERPIECE #3157 (June 30, 2023) blog entry, accessible by the Check out the blog! box after the last comment, and using the dropdown menu (even larger, if you trim what’s after .png from the URL). I have added a comment there pointing to the blog entry with my comment with artist info I used to point to here. So far, 2 works by him have been used here, the June 28, 2023, strip being the prior.
