If I could find a restaurant where there was no one talking loudly on their phone, I would go there!

Where can I find a pub where there aren’t a half dozen TV’s showing some kind of sports events?

In stall a large air conditioner, and, on hot days, put out a sign saying, “Free Why Fry?”

“No Tv” would be a (govt.) directive. That sign looks more like a policy decision.

When I go and am alone, I listen to old radio programs on my MP3 player. I need a respite from the fantasy news shows that normally play. I prefer the fantasy fiction on the old time radio.

I haven’t had T.V. reception for over 15 years, and I DON’T miss it! Thank goodness for my DVD/BluRay Player and DVD collections!

I miss the Brown Jug: beer & really good bar food. The corner bar across the street had a juke box.

Wonder if the drink orders increase after bar-tv news shows Buttercup out-gassing about how he’s going to MAGA. Hm-m-m-m, I wonder. Is MAGA short for Oh, my God!! He’s at it again!!?

A small pizzeria recently opened near where I live. I went to their website to see what they offered. The first thing I noticed? Them bragging about their six televisions. This in a small location. I decided to stay as far away as possible.

I am thinking of establishing a venue called “The Faraday Cage.” The only thing electrical in it will be the lighting.

We were recently seated at a restaurant directly under a TV showing a 24 hour cable news station which is the opposite of our political leanings. Ugh!

All one needs to do is to hand over all electronic devices, including watches as you enter. Pick up your stuff on the way out.

I have a friend who owns a restaurant/bar called The Library. It actually was an old public library.

The place lives up to its name – lots of books, comfortable surroundings, no televisions, no jukebox, just quiet atmosphere where loud cell phone usage is politely discouraged. The food is very good and the drink prices reasonable.

He was really surprised by how popular the place became – not just with older folks, but with a younger clientele.

Everything’s a lot clearer with no tv. Television is the modern opiate for the masses.

Who out there remembers when some places had the t.v. on for Monday Night Football when it was Frank Gifford, Don Meredith and, Howard Cossell? They’d raffle off the chance to shoot the t.v. when Howard was on.

    Just a suggestion.

Recent conversation heard in a bar: Guy 1: I can’t figure how the Hell Buttercup rated an 82 gun salute. Guy 2: I can’t figure how they missed that many times.

The local cable company has been HOUNDING me to sign up for their streaming TV service. The last call was kind of fun…I told her that I wasn’t interested because I don’t watch TV. There was a long pause and she asks, "What do you do with your free time? " and I respond, “well, I can tell you this much, I don’t waste it starting at screen for hours on end”….another long pause, “oh, ok. thanks. ”

I don’t know about other cities, but in Portland, OR, regardless of the restaurant whether it’s a brew pub or the lastest upscale hot spot, the management has the music so load you have to nearly scream at your guest across the table. To make matters worse, often times it’s the local “Soft Rock” station or the bartender’s iPad plugged into the sound system. If I want to listen to loud music, I’ll go to a concert.

When I’m shelling out a couple of C-notes for dinner, the last thing I want to hear is Hotel California turned up to 11!

But “No TV” doesn’t cover their new policy of ejecting parties that get too loud, or the guy next to you with terminal B.O.
