    His travels and personal indescretions are the LEAST of the problems with this turkey. It’s what he’s doing, or trying to do with the resources that belong to ALL AMERICANS, not just his wealthy corporate and private “donors” that are the real problem.

    CHICANERIES – {a limerick and a ps}

    re Chicaneries of Mister Pruitt: -

    - Auditors see right through it

    when a lobbyist defrays

    the expense of his ways.

    Malfeasance, as auditors view it.

    … PS:

    Old Mother Nature is sure that he blew it

    when scientific fact he’d misconstrue it.

    {Off the cartoon’s topic:}

    NINCOMPOOP – {limerick and coda}

    Rudy tried to be helping, -

    - but instead the Trumpites are yelping

    that he’d gone astray

    in his Rudy-ish way.

    A can of worms he was whelping.

    … Coda:

    Was he helping? Noop.

    Rudy’s a Nincompoop.

    I just didn’t realize how autonomous and versatile Pruitt believes he is …

    “We thought boosting an industry he is not even charged with regulating -– a mission well outside the scope of his job -– was troubling enough,” the senators said. “Now, after our repeated questions have gone ignored, we learn this trip was also the work of a lobbyist and personal friend of Pruitt’s now representing the Moroccan government.”

    https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-05-02/mystery-of-pruitt-s-morocco-trip-deepens-with-lobbyist-contract

    Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt has a 29 percent job approval rating, according to a poll released Thursday.

    The embattled EPA chief’s approval numbers are well below those of President Trump, who currently sits at a 40 percent approval, according to the survey from left-leaning Public Policy Polling.

    What the HELL is the EPA chief doing in Morocco anyway?? Studying how to turn the Midwest into an inhospitable desert filled with nothing but drifting sand dunes??

    {Off the cartoon’s topic:}

    RETAINED FOR CHICANERY – {limerick}

    When a lawyer’s on Trump’s retainer, the

    assignment is to pull off chicanery: -

    - to pull off some knavery

    in ways quite unsavory.

    {Hmmm. What rhymes with “chicanery”?}

    {Oh:} Even if the tricks are bird-brainery.

    Pruitt, Trump’s GOP, and Zinke’s ideal for our air, water, and citizen’s lands. Derelict wells and toxic waste as far as the eye can see, from sea to shining sea.

    Pruitt Secure Booth – $43,000.

    Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz Secure Room – $1.2 MILLION.

    Anyone want to guess why the press ignored the Moniz expenditure?

    Pruitt’s dance card is going to be filled with Congressional hearings after January. To avoid same, he might consider what time slot he’d like to apply for on FOX.

    Apparently people like Andy don’t understand that the DOE secretary might need to conduct actual classified DOE business. Which includes many aspects of our nuclear weapon inventory, our monitoring to detect weapons tests by others, and gosh, just a whole lot more matters related to our national security. A SCIF permits discussions of classified data. It may also have a dedicated connection to the DOE classified network. That might be useful, no?

    SCIFs must be leak-proof. Signals can only get out over secure channels. Apparently, this was for having classified meetings in a useful location. A good sized SCIF can easily run to a lot of money.

    Pruitt’s phone booth does not meet the same standards. And the justification is flimsy. If he used a real SCIF, he’d have to leave a paper trail. Not so with the phone booth. So he’s doing it to hide his use from others.
