Trump is either very fortunate or very much smarter than he lets on. Either way we may have to nullify the election if it is found the Russians did things that significantly lead to his election. Until then we wait and see what turns up under all the rocks that are laid out for the investigators to turn over…
Trump can resign or be removed, but we are still stuck with a bunch of Republicans. It will take a lot of time to undo the damage. Maybe it will never be undone. We are still suffering the results of electing Reagan in 1980 and Bush in 2000. What “progressives” and “liberals” need to do is figure out why so many people vote against their own best interest and stop them from doing it again (and again). It is that simple and that hard.
Conservative pundit Ross Douthat: Here is a good rule of thumb for dealing with Donald Trump: Everyone who gives him the benefit of the doubt eventually regrets it. This was true of clients and contractors and creditors throughout his business career. It was true of the sycophants and opportunists before whom he dangled cabinet appointments during the campaign and then, oh, never mind. …..The benefit of the doubt I extended to Trump was limited, but on a rather important subject: I thought that direct collusion between his inner circle and Russian officialdom during the 2016 campaign was relatively unlikely and the odds of ever finding proof of such a conspiracy vanishingly low. A lot of weirdness around Trump and Russia, I argued, had a more normal explanation — he had made business deals with Russians, he still harbors a 1980s-era vision of superpower cooperation, and as a foreign-policy neophyte he clutched the idea of détente like a security blanket even as the Russians separately made moves to help him win.
You can read my argument in full here; it’s a mere six weeks old. It’s also no longer operative, because we know now that Donald Trump’s son, his son-in-law and his campaign manager all took a meeting in which it was explicitly promised that damaging information on Hillary Clinton would be supplied as “part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump.”
Stop being a slug. If going to the polls is inconvenient, send a mail in ballot. EVERYONE needs to vote. Get those uncooperative sour grapes Reps & Dems outa there!

The Russians interfered in our elections. The extent is not yet known.
.
They were successful.
.
They were not only not punished, but the beneficiary of the interference denies that it happened — and if it did, it was Hillary. Or something.
.
Why would even Fox “news” viewers doubt they will do it next election?
Of course, for Trump Disciples, treason is perfectly acceptable, so long as Republicans win.

PRESSED TO DISTRESS – {a rhyme}
Turned by the press
every way but loose.
They burn him, oh yes,
by cooking his goose. -
- Yet pressed to distress,
Trump STILL won’t vamoose.

The business model: By any means possible. Lie, cheat, and steal to make a buck and gain power.
Integrity, humility, and compassion does not meet any corporate goals or model.

In response he told them to stop filming. Meanwhile the Republicans ask “what Russian issues?”
