Take-off from a line in the play “Warp”: “What’s he want to destroy the Earth for? Where’s he going to live?” Somebody should write a similar science fiction play called “Trump”!

Note that in one Broadway run, the part of the Janitor / Prince Chaos is played by “Tom Towles”! (cue the theremin music)
It would be interesting to see how much of the continuing support for Trump is due to consumption of fake news. Could be managed with polls that asked specific questions about which news sites you visit and how often, coupled with questions about Trump.
I hypothesize that support for Trump continues due to constant fake or distorted news consumption.
Example, his cheaper coal thing. After mining all the easy to get coal for a couple hundred years, you’re going deeper. This is just the facts on the ground. And the coal is now sub bituminous at best for steam coal, most of the Western coal is lignite. To burn it at all requires sophisticated furnaces. Modern coal fired plants pulverize the coal, blow it into the furnace and burn it. This is not remotely like firing a locomotive in 1850. Mississippi’s Kemper County carbon-capturing coal plant which is supposed to demonstrate “clean” coal, is now 4 billion over budget and still not operational. You could build 4 natural gas plants with carbon capture for the cost OVERRUN on that single coal powered generating station. There is absolutely nothing Trump can do to change that.
The Republicans need to sit this one out. Too many states have expanded Medicare and have given people some form of affordable insurance for basic care. No one is going to give that up for HSA’s that cover nothing if one needs to take a trip to the Emergency Room. At this point Obamacare is here to stay.
I think that they should also investigate possible ties between Russia and Fox and Breitbart. Russia has a proven history of spreading lies in other countries by social media, and the lies about Hillary during the campaign do seem to fit their style.

And if the bill was passed, he would still be killing the planet. It must be his ultimate revenge.

ADIEU to AMERICANA – {1.60 limericks}
Righties and Trumpies undo
the American Way. – Adieu
to what we have been.
Again and again
they’ve flushed us down their loo.
They’re under our skins
and kicking our shins.
It’s time for a leftwing coup.

LEFTIES MOBILIZED – {a rhyme}
News-reports have us apprised
that Trump and the Right have revised
all that is civilized.
Our nation is compromised
by stuff this regime has devised. -
- We Lefties are agonized
but not demoralized;
instead, we’re mobilized.

Even if Faux News told them that, they’d ask, “Who paid them off?”

Earth must die. It’s a core tenet of capitalism; conversion of … EVERYTHING … to money.

And they wonder why the Trump and fake news believers were labeled Deplorables.
Trump and his cabinet cronies will destroy our social, economic, and environmental systems.
Very scarey.
