Holy crap! Did everyone else see what my wife and I saw tonight at the presidential candidates’ debate? Someone got his clock cleaned and walked out looking like Swiss cheese. Being knowledgeable and in command of information and being able to communicate such is a very basic requisite for our next President. I’ll bet Donald had a tummy ache tonight and that is why he fell off his one trick pony. Do you think anyone else happened to watch & noticed? Like 100,000,000? You can run, but one on one, you cannot hide.
Tummies in Knots{… 1.60 limericks …}Our tummies ache, in knotsbecause we think of it lots:Is it Hill-a-ree{?}or The Donald{?} who’ll bethe prez who’ll be calling the shots? With either, no glee: -- we Progressives foreseean America which gots the rots.=======
“Debates” Enable{… a limerick …}Such “debatings” tend to enablesupporters with minds unstableto continue applausefor the Trumpian cause, -- for ANYthing with a Trumpian label.========
She Busted His Chops{… a limerick …}Trump lied, he bragged and he blustered, -- but Hillary wasn’t flusteredas she countered his punchand ate his lunch.Boy, how his chops she {busted} bustered.=========
Is it just me? Or did anyone else notice that after the debate, when both families rushed to the stage, the Clinton clan went to the stage edge, shook hands, and snapped selfies with audience members, while Trump and his entourage of sniveling brats skulked imperiously off the stage so he could run to the computer and begin tweeting. A sure sign of a loser and a surer sign of a gutless coward.
I’m not incredibly optimistic. He blustered, pulled faces while she was talking, and interrupted again and again, just in the first fifteen minutes. I mention the time frame because after the debate, the ABC pundits were talking about how well he did during those first fifteen minutes. Apparently, acting like a simian exceeded expectations.
Totally contrary to my intentions, I actually watched the debate. I thought Clinton did pretty well, but it was sad to see how many times chRump exposed her neoliberal ways (while always leaving open the question, how would he not be even worse?) I watched a bit of the panel on Democracy Now! after the debate, and one statement stuck out: “Sanders would have destroyed Trump in that debate”.
Trump is doing very well among those from the Alt-Right Universe. Holt had a lot of trouble scoring, and moderating. He allowed Trump to take over, interrupt, and bully both Clinton and himself. At least Clinton looked presidential while Trump looked like an orange gorilla.
Hillary actually presented information, facts, history, reasons for those facts. Trump repeated talking points and frequently didn’t seem to even understand the reasoning behind the talking points. I’m better prepared to be president than Trump is.
Trump is whining that he was given a defective Microphone.[]http://www.politicususa.com/tag/trump-blames-mic-for-debate-defeat []Now watch all the Truymp-loving conspiracy nuts start claiming it was a plot was engineered by the Obama administration. ( at the behest of the Muslim Brotherhood. )
Our local right wingnut radio host, whose hatred of anything Clinton is transparent, gushed over how well Trump did in the first 15 minute segment. After that is was all the fault of moderator Lester Holt. The republican machine is very efficient at disseminating their message, and quickly, to all its parrots.
Trump is the most seriously mentally ill nominee since Nixon (and we all know how that turned out……) He is the least qualified nominee of a major party in U.S. history (not that Trump knows anything about U.S. history, or world history, or current events, or the Constitution, or math or science or…….never mind, this is getting depressing!)
Much like the W debates, he showed up and didn’t set anything on fire, so he will get a win. She was succinct, had a plan, didn’t interrupt, and answered the questions presented her. She looked presidential but she was not a white man so she failed to sway the right-wing. What a little man he was being a wing nut bully. Poor little handed Trump couldn’t even compare junk with her.
Two bad choices do make it harder. I did see Hillary looking tired or depressed whenever sh wasn’t wearing her made-for-TV smile, and she was very cautious going down the steps afterward.
Kip: on “facial gestures”, I about choked laughing when she mentioned Putin and Trump pursed his lips and leaned into the mic like he was heading for Vlad’s “nether regions” absolutely hilarious!!

Fox News is reporting that Trump showed great restraint. I guess that means he was less insulting than usual.
