She just realised as it got closer she sees it is not a star. I doubt she knows what it is, but she gotta tell Wally.I noticed that Wally and Holly are not sleeping cuddled up, let alone close . I hate to see them having anger keeping them apart.

Ant panel 4 is lighter than panel 2. That suggests the light is shining on them, very brightly. Don’t tell me Topsider air patrols now have a way of detecting ditto shields.

They already know that they must have some kind of shield – because they followed them since some time and with a blink they disappeared.The question is how they were still able to follow them.Maybe Clive has an RFID-Tag for close range detection.

Can’t they detect heat signatures through ditto shields?

Kirbee: "Excuse me, Wally? I haven’t been Topside very long, so I don’t know the answer to this. Do stars have landing lights? Or bumper stickers that read “I brake for pumpkin hunts”?

If Kirbee saves their butts, maybe Holly will cut her some slack and realize that every member of their party has something to offer. Even, very likely, the bug.

I don’t think that’s what she wished for..

Up next on Endtown.. Alien abductions!Kirbee better have not wished for the return of Unity!Enough with that place.Holly is still mad at Wally, there is an emotional and physical distance between them.Perhaps this is Kirbees chance to redeem herself in Holly’s eyes.

Here come the Chekov’s Guns to haunt them. And as I speculated last strip, perhaps Clive has a homing beacon with a 30-day battery, just like an aircraft “black box” (which is generally orange)?

Positioning of characters (as others have pointed out) as well as Holly’s general displeasure at keeping Kirbee around….Is it possible that Holly saw that kiss Kirbee gave Wally?.In general:.I’m tiring of the line that all Topsiders are absolutely evil..Since absolutely all these “mutants” were once “human,” doesn’t that mean that absolutely all of them were once “Topsiders”?.Which leads to yet another disturbing thought:.Perhaps only those who had redeeming qualities “mutated”….Stated another way, only the least human people were allowed to remain human…

Thought you might like to see the second time Sarah saves them, the first was when she brought Wally the cloth to plug the vent to block poison gas :

Man I feel bad for Kirbee, I think she’s too innocent for this world she was born into.

If the sleeping positions are symbolic, I would say Clive has come between Holly and Wally. She doesn’t like Wally considering Clive a thing instead of a person. Especially when Clive itself considers itself a thing instead of a person.I didn’t use a gender pronoun for Clive because even though it has a male nickname, it may have been a woman before, and now its gender is moot, except to those who are uncomfortable with genderless identities.

Kirbee’s last comment…….“It’s full of Stars……”

I’ve been working all day ad among other things, had to take my computer in. The Hard Drive may be going. I meant to say earlier that a mass detector could NOT sense the party against the mass of the earth due to the laws of physics even how Aaron has set it up in his universe.As far as seeing a flash of light from an unknown source, I remember seeing that exact thing on more than one night while stationed in Turkey in ’72. I first saw a dim circle of light around a couple of other guys who were on the roof of the Barracks. I thought I was imagining it until after I laid back and after a few minutes of looking at the stars, I saw a flash in my eyes. Whatever it was taking pictures was way high in the sky and had a very focused flash, it that was what it was.

Maybe it’s something friendly. Like the Opabinia Queen, looking for its lost captain.

If you have slept on hot desert dust you would understand their positions. And i think kirbee is about to have a ditto flashback.
