So, the apocalypse survivors are audience surrogates. Is this “trans-zombie” term similar to transhuman, in that the “trans” is an abbreviation for “transcendant”?

So if this kid “identifies” with the survivors, won’t he had to start living like one and claiming to actually be one? Actually, the kid is using the term “transzombies” incorrectly if he identifies with survivors instead of the zombies themselves.

but are the zombie’s the survivors of the apocalypse?

I thought the non-zombified humans would be the survivors – and if so, then he wouldn’t be trans-zombie since he’s not identifying with the zombies.

Unless he just wants to be a zombie.

Never been a fan of zombies, except maybe in the Xanth books. Vampires (both male and female) have that sensual sexual vibe, werewolves have that animal ferocity we can easily identify from actual predators. Zombies, and mummies, just don’t seem to have character.

I can relate to the zombie survivors. There is always a horde of em with their devices. You try to engage them in real life and they moan and look at you strangely. Then they attack you and try to get you join Fazebook or Jitter.

It’s actually more than that. Senoia is where the production company of The Walking Dead is located. Senoia is Walking Dead central.
