And still, a cooler world will have less evaporation from sea level and less precipitation. That means less water available for plants and animals and for cooling the atmosphere associated with land masses. Deserts are hot from a lack of water, due to low atmospheric water vapor, due to low sea water temperatures, quite probably caused by the high reflectivity and chilled runoff from huge continental glaciers of twenty thousand years previous. The seas did rise when the glaciers receded, and the atmosphere warmed because of it. It actually would have provided a global flood that drowned all of mankind’s coastal cities, which would be most of them. Now I need to listen to “Langue d’Amour”.

Now, still, humans would be relatively safe, as sharks don’t eat us unless they mistake us for say, a seal, or they’re starving to death.

Goat’s just wrong. If every bit of land-borne ice covering Antarctica, Greenland, and all other glaciers melted the sea-level rise would be about 60 meters, or something around 220 feet. Bad for coastal areas, but we are not looking at waterworld.

Actually, in my daily paper, Pig said, “That doesn’t phase him.” Why is it different from the original?

Goat, I think you’re exaggerating these water levels a little. If you’re right, then having a life’s goal of being turned into a snow leopard so you could survive comfortably on Mount Everest would be sane, and I’m quite sure I’m crazy.

I think the comic pages are an appropriate forum for issues such as global warming and income inequality, and Congress is the appropriate forum for issues such as IRS abuse, NSA abuse, and an AWOL executive during Benghazi.
