And in “Nancy,” when Ernie Bushmiller drew it, we didn’t see the bottom half of Aunt Fritzi. Or more than three rocks at a time. And did Sluggo have parents?

How about Beetle Bailey’s eyes?

There have been a few different artists for “Nancy” since Ernie Bushmiller died. Gilchrist is pretty good, but I still prefer the quirkiness of the old strips..Interesting to see how the newer artists have reshaped the old strips. I think “Dick Tracy” is pretty good these days (the characters from Moon City are back!), but “Funky Winkerbean” is worse, I think. Funny how “Mary Worth” has stayed about the same. And “Blondie” has adjusted well with the times. I miss the absurdity of “Smokey Stover,” for sure. (notary sojac)

Hagar has appeared naked at the doctor’s office. A tasteful side view, but still too much for me.

I, for one, am grateful that I’ve never seen Hagar in Speedos.
