Good calls on Wally. Agree with Jayce, though. Why isn’t Wally tossed in with them, or dead?

It wouldn’t fit in the storyline.I was wrong. Veteran was right. Wally may have found his strong man, but in the wrong way.BTW, the attic is a good name for that area.

Endtown is quickly becoming a fascism. They need to get out of this town quickly before it’s to late and they’re not permitted to. He who trades his freedom for security deserves neither.

Go get those rats, Doc! Yup, it’s about time someone with medical knowledge set human/mutant records straight. Humanity and compassion isn’t a physical body, it’s a mindset.

Two black eyes. OUCH. I think that fumigating the attic is a very good idea. Lets grab a few rat tails and cut them off. Blind or not. Have we ever just assumed that all morphsas were human? Could some of the animals we know like “rats” might have gained some and I mean only some,, intelligence?Thank heavens for Docrat to put a heavier weight on the other end of the teetertotter.. A hug for you Jenner.Blessed Be

Don’t forget how hair-trigger the security rats are. In the earliest story, when Al was departing to go out on a mission, they were very close to shooting him dead (for not taking them seriously when he returned from his previous misison). Okay, at that time, it was the theater of the absurd. But their behaviour now, in this darker story, is consistent with how they behaved then.

I just finished the entire archive and it has quickly become my favorite comic. I hope that some kind of reason gets back into Endtown. I think it will eventually be up to Professor Mallard to step in. I wonder where he is in all of this?

Given that the doc is the only doctor I know of in Endtown, he might be one of the few (Mallard excluded) who might successfully deal with Endtown Security.

I am now starting to see one of the values of having Flask in charge of security in Endtown: To keep the rats in line.

Seems to be no small feat.

I am back.Oh by the byHappy Valentines Day everybody. Give your loved ones a hug.To the story.Every one keeps blaming the rats for acting independently. They do not do anything without consulting a book of rules or commanded by their leader. We have not seen the leader of them. WHO is in charge of Security now? That is going to be the true culprit behind all this. I am telling ya’ll. Allgood is behind it all. I believe he has in place now sympathizers to his cause. Not just in the Council but I will lay odds in other places of even better control. That is why he is so confident his plan will work. In a “take over” like this you put in place (important places) people you can depend on. The Council is only a small part. Get the Security under your belt and now you have ever more control. The rats are simply misled at this time. As Flask said they love to salute and take orders. I know some will blame them for just following orders they (the reader) feel are unjust but it is what they do. No questions just do it. Knowing Wally he probably brought this on himself. He has few skills in artful negotiation. I imagine his first question was where is Holly. The response was to leave. Wally "I ain’t going anywhere without an answer and Holly. Now the bat comes up from behind and the whoop ass begins. It is the rat way. His bravado is commendable but misguided. NOW someone knows who CAN get into it. Doc has connections Wally can only dream of.The question is now just how much has Allgood corrupted the system? Are there enough good ones in place to stop him?

I think Doc looks more like D. Forrest Kelly. Just with reading glasses. Presbyopia and all. “Damn it Jim I’m a doctor not a ………….” (add comment here). That is at least the voice I gave the character.

I love Wally’s comment about SAVING Holly. She is probably in the safest place in Endtown. Given the size of those doors an A bomb would only stir up dust. They (Allgood’s intentions) will be to keep Holly, Linda, and Maude very safe. Just not free to run about and start to dig up support for them in the trial. They have to have the “stars” of the show trial so protecting them is paramount to Allgood’s plan. Harming them now will only make sympathy for them if they showed up for trial hurt and beat up.This is manipulation of a system at its best. Wally needs to take a chill pill and let others work the system.

And we now know Wally’s friend name.Trace.Interesting name. Good at following leads and people?Good recall of information? Remembering all the details? To trace is follow and go over an already traveled path or lines. Copying to say. Or it is short for Tracy to reference Dick Tracy. After all we started out with “I, The Jury” Mickey Spillane author. Mike Hammer the subject. When is Inspector Gadget showing up?? (Ha)

Could this have been Flask’s doing before her grand revelation? Wasn’t she the one who trained the rats? And she wasn’t too keen on letting Al & Gustine go, or listening to the oracle. Maybe she’ll come back and set them straight???

Thanks. I’m relatively new to Endtown (just over a year), but the last two days looking at the doctor, I knew he reminded me of some other T.V. doctor, but I couldn’t place him. He definatly resembles “Doc” from “Gunsmoke”. And acts like him. “Bones” (Deforest Kelly) would not take this kind of action under these circumstances. “Darn it Jim, I’m a doctor, not a fighter.”

I can see the Doc talking to a certain 700 pound rhino about this situation. Other than that, it may be time to see what other citizens live in Endtown who might be the hidden heroes of this story arc. There has to be more to the “attic” than the security area. I could see maintenance areas for the lighting and air circulation systems. What I’m getting at is otherwise the rats are in a supreme position to just “wait out” any rebellion by the people of Endtown and this being an obvious failure dooomed from the start. We have seen a few reasonable security people, but they have all been non-rats so far. Too few to be of any use to sidetrack what is happening so far.

Eventually Linda would make a good head of security. She, more than any other is now qualified to know the thoughts of Topsiders, and how they plan to exterminate the mutants. But it will be a long time before anyone trusts her. Perhaps this is what this story arc is about…whom to trust?

That has always been the case. Maybe not to use as in the military but when they get out gather up the flock and arm them. The OKC bomber was ex-military. Went in to LEARN how to do things He said that in court. I was recruited before I got out by what I could call unsavory characters. I think they were mercenaries. Talked about travel and going to places to ASSIST local governments. Pay was good, everything provided. I had no interest. I was like Wally. Tired of it and wanted just to get out of it and it out of my mind.ConstanzeN pointed that out with Hitler and she is right. In his rise to power he had the ability to place those he wanted and knew would be his to control. Scary thought about what is happening in Endtown. Right under their collective noses its been happening and it is going to come to head soon. Allgood did well to keep it quiet till they were ready.Like I said earlier if the Endtowners have weapons cached away now may be the good time to get them out of mothballs, cleaned up, oiled, and loaded. Not openly mind you but when you think about it. WHO CAN THEY TRUST? It puts all Endtowners on edge. Who is with Allgood and who is not? Did we know of Roxie being a member???? If the Endtowners do not have cached weapons better hang on to your cookies. Its gonna get rough. The rats will follow the leader. They always have. If the leader is controlled by Allgood that is very bad juju. It seems that way know BUT have been wrong before. Maybe a change of heart?

Be on the road tomorrow. Got to go out to Van Horn here in Texas to pick up some equipment for the Captain. My old stomping grounds when I was but a young green Troop. Out there you learned all the tricks to survive. Back up was a hour or two away and right now you have five people (all dangerous and bad) at gun point. Handle the situation to a resolution. I focused on the most mouthy badass acting one. I knew if I took him down the others were less of a threat. It came to cocking and locking a 12 ga shotgun at fifteen feet with instructions to comply or die. He kept wanting to come up to me and talk. I said “Face down, on the ground, keep quiet, hands where I can see them. Screw that up and the shotgun sings a song. Last one you will ever hear.”Remember the song from Lynerd Skynerd “staring straight down a 44”. TRY A 12ga and a calm demeanor Troop behind it. Never yelled or screamed just calm and methodical.(Inside I was nervous wreck. Man the tension was horrible.)(Gotta go. A warrant here just came in. “Super Troop Powers Activate” Heheheh)
