37% of Americans trust what they are hearing from Donald Trump. Let that sink in… turns out that only a third of Americans have their absolute faith and trust in Donald Trump, that is, the die-hard believers or cultists. I submit we have found the “base” support level of Donald Trump.
The take home message for me is that at a time our country is in a catastrophic pandemic that is threatening to destroy our health care and our economy, the President of the United States is trusted by a mere 37% of his fellow citizens. If this catastrophe cannot bring Americans to rally around their President, Donald John Trump, Sr. is staring into his political abyss in November.
Thanks to everyone for your patience on the comics – I went right from the end of the campaign right into COVID-19 response through my role as President of the Studio City Neighborhood Council, so this comic is basically most of the jokes I’ve been writing about this thing to keep me sane.
There will be plenty of books (you know, those papery things?) and documentaries (and the occasional opera) about how, with few exceptions, it was the REPUBLICAN governors and mayors (and county executives) who were pathetically slow to respond to the emergency. (If we, like Donald Trump, pretend that HE is a Republican, then of course that’s a whole ‘nother cancelled ballgame……) I know that with the whole “science killed the dinosaurs AND Fred Flintstone” mindset of the modern day Republicans, we can’t expect much. But we could (and should!) expect (and demand!) a LITTLE.
SCIENTIFIC BREAKTHROUGH! It has now been conclusively proved, beyond the tenth part of the tenth shadow of a doubt, that growing up with gold diapers and a platinum pacifier can lead to a high (yet FALSE!) opinion of oneself…..
If Trump continues to call the COVID-19 virus by any other name then we should call the results of his efforts to contain the virus The Trump Spread because when congress and the president first heard about the virus some senators made plans to sell their stocks while Trump went out to his rallies and called it a hoax instead of working to contain it.
Isn’t America lucky? We have an ORANGE LOON in the White house who takes no responsibility for doing nothing to help his nation in its time of need. His BASE is proud of him for doing nothing but committing crimes. They totally support the ORANGE PARASITE for joining them on their pedestal of doing nothing.
I don’t much care for Pence, but he at least sounds like a leader should at this time. I watch the COVID-19 press conferences and I listen to the adults, then the POTUS speaks and I can only shake my head.

Scathing, Brian, just scathing! 8^)
And the bottom of screen stuff is priceless…
But I am not sure that Trump would know anything about the Trolley Problem…
Welcome back!

Excuse me please, while I google “Trolley Problem”.
Ah yes. I can see why he thought that it was a nasty question. He didn’t understand it.

NonComposMentis – and anybody else that cares:
Cuomo isn’t the only governor leading the way.
Colorado has Jared Polis who has been leading all the way.
